Global Wellness Day at Kamalaya
We celebrate Global Wellness Day on the second Saturday of June each year as an international day dedicated to living well. The aim of Global Wellness Day is to inspire everyone to consider making healthier choices using the slogan, “one day can change your whole life”. When we allow ourselves to pause for a moment and disconnect from the demands of the busy world around us, we become more conscious of our health and wellbeing. In recognition of Global Wellness Day, we invite you to join us for the following complimentary holistic wellness activities at Kamalaya.
Qi Gong with River
7:30 – 8:15 at Yoga Pavilion
A class for body, mind & spirit; experience a complete physical workout whilst improving coordination, balance and awareness. Combines gentle movements with breathing techniques to increase the body’s natural flow of qi (energy).
Vinyasa Yoga - Slow Flow with Dana
8:30 - 9:45 at Yantra Hall
During a typical Vinyasa class, the postures are practiced in a flowing sequence seamlessly connected by the breath. Vinyasa at Kamalaya has a slightly different approach, allowing the teacher more time to enhance your practice with a particularly slow and peaceful rhythm.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Drop-in Clinic with Lynn
11:00 – 12:45 at Yantra Hall
Stop by for a complimentary auricular acupuncture session and experience a Five Needle Protocol treatment developed by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association. These five ear points are utilized worldwide and are clinically shown to improve physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Treatments last approximately 20-30 minutes, but shorter sessions can be accommodated. Please remember to enter and exit the treatment space quietly to avoid disturbing other participants.
Mindfulness in Everyday Life talk with River
14:00 – 15:00 at Kamalaya Gallery
Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention without resistance. We invite participants to learn simple and powerful tools of mindfulness to enhance their communication skills, bring emotional balance and find clarity in thought and action.
Deepening Focus Meditation with Sujay
16:30 – 17:30 at Yantra Hall
Practicing meditation brings about a state of balance & peace. In this guided session, Kamalaya Life Enhancement Mentor, Sujay shares techniques to help you achieve greater states of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
