Leoni Jansen is a singer and stage-director from Holland. Over the past few years she has been busy mainly creating music programs with bridges to different cultures. She worked with many international musicians, including Toumani Diabate, Mohammud Ahmed, Angelique Kidjo, Busi Mhlongo, Rosy Flores, and sang in Holland with Youssou N’dour his worldwide hit “7 seconds away”.
Her own music style lies somewhere between Celtic and Americana. She has a dozen of solo cd’s on her name, and each cd contain in some collaborations. As coach she works both with young pop artist as politicians. Queen Beatrix knighted her for her contribution to world music and for empowering women in music.
Josee Koning is Holland’s leading lady in Brazilian music. She has an international career working with the best musicians from Brazil like Ivan Lins, Dori Caymmi, João Bosco, Nelson Faria and many others.
She was the co-founder of the legendary Brazilian fusion group Batida in 1980. Batida recorded three albums, toured internationally and played at the North Sea Jazz Festival.
Her latest album ‘The Chamber Music project’ with the international band ‘Who’s the Bossa?’ received worldwide appreciation; another jewel in Josee’s vast discography.

We always want to reach other person by words. But do we know what just our plain voice already expresses? Do we know what the voice itself says, warmth? A workshop about voices in different cultures, music and characters, about their tone and defense mechanism. With lots of examples and funny exercises.
At the end of the workshop there is time for a quick scans: what does Leoni hear in your voice?
