The W.M.P. Show

Tuesday 3rd January 2017
20.30 at Yantra Hall

The W.M.P. Show is a dynamic and lively musical trio that has manifested for a one-time-only exclusive performance in their second visit to Kamalaya. Drawing inspiration from Bob Fosse, Louis Prima and skiffle music to Latin, soul and reggae stylings, supported by a healthy taste of ancient laundry practices, The W.M.P. Show is sure to keep your ears happy and feet tapping.

With a degree in guitar performance from the Sydney Conservatorium, time in Peru and Andalusia studying latin and flamenco styles, along with further jazz studies and escapades into blues, surf rock, hip hop and Balkan music, Will has many flavors to choose from when mixing his smile ridden musical cocktails. After relocating to Berlin in 2014, Will connected with percussionist Petros Tzekos from Greece and now share the stage as part of the city's hottest swing bands. Michael Harvey fell in love with music from a young age, later studying at Newcastle Conservatorium and Southern Cross University. After initially honing his craft and approach through busking, open mic nights and never-ending musical experiments Harvey has gone onto share festival stages with the likes of Donovan Frankenreiter & guitar virtuoso Joe Robinson.
